Gun Cleaner Solution 1 Gal — FAQs
Is ultrasonic cleaning safe for firearms?
Yes, for metal components — slides, bolts, triggers, pins, receivers and brass. Remove grips, optics, wood and anything with adhesive first. After cleaning, rinse, dry thoroughly and re-lubricate: ultrasonic cleaning strips all oil, including the oil you want.
Will it remove carbon fouling and powder residue?
That is exactly what it is formulated for. For heavy carbon — suppressor parts, bolt carrier groups, high-round-count pistol slides — mix at 1:100 and run a heated cycle.
Can I clean brass cases for reloading with it?
Yes. It is popular with reloaders as an ultrasonic brass cleaner solution. Deprime cases first for clean primer pockets, rinse well with water, then dry completely before loading.
Does it harm gun finishes?
The formula is non-corrosive and finish-safe on common steel, aluminum and brass finishes at recommended dilutions. As with any cleaner, test unusual coatings first and don't leave parts in the bath overnight.
